OUR PROCESS
Soft washing is a safe and very effective low pressure cleaning and sanitising method which uses purpose built low pressure equipment that will effectively clean, and sanitise exterior surfaces with a variety of eco-friendly chemicals.
With soft washing, custom-blended cleaning solutions are applied to the surface by use of special, low pressure pumps. The pressure is about the same as that of a garden hose. It is the cleaning solution that does all the work whereas, with the use of a power washer, it is the pressure of the water stream that is trying to do the cleaning.

THE SCIENCE
Soft washing will kill the spores and micro-organisms down to the root effectively treating unsightly biological growth such as fungus, moss, algae, bacteria, lichen, pollen, mould living symbiotically on the target surface.
Spores from biological growth are extremely resilient and will survive high pressure washing. Soft- washing is the most safe and effective way to destroy them and prevent regrowth.
ECO-FRIENDLY CHEMICALS
Our soft wash products do not “bio accumulate”, meaning they break down rapidly on contact with organic matter to give the process a very low environmental footprint.
ALGOCLEAR PRO
We treat surfaces with the market leading product Algoclear Pro, a biocide which within thirty minutes of application will have killed all the live contaminants. – Moss remnants will quickly decay and disperse. White and yellow lichen will die within a short period. It is approved for the cleaning of children’s play areas. It works by contact with microbial life puncturing their cell walls and will not affect any building materials.
LOW PRESSURE APPLICATION
The soft wash products are applied at low pressure similar to that of a household tap meaning there is no damage to delicate surfaces or pointing.
LONG TERM PROTECTION
Treatment with a biocide will give a longer term protection often of several years depending on the location.
PRESSURE WASHING
Pressure washing is used suitable surfaces to remove an layer of grime and contaminants, allowing the soft wash products to reach deeper into the pores of the surface. Pressure washing alone will leave behind spores and roots more often willnot remove black lichen commonly known as ‘patio black spot’.
